Where did it all begin?

At Laatupankki, we kept seeing the same problem: SMEs wanted to develop their operations and meet their customers' quality and sustainability requirements, but implementing ISO standards felt complex, burdensome and even impossible. Something clearer and more practical was needed.

Ilkka Sillanpää and Henrik Salmela decided to do something about it. Ilkka had extensive experience of building management systems for different industries. Henrik brought software development expertise to the team, along with a fresh perspective on how digitalising processes could genuinely make everyday work easier. They wanted to combine expert services and software into one clear solution tailored to SMEs.

Toni Järveläinen joined the team, having helped companies develop their sales and customer relationships for many years. Toni understood the important role ISO certifications play in a company's competitiveness - and how, when built properly, they can support sales and customer relationships.

Together, we created Laatupankki: a service where an expert works alongside you, software provides support, and systems are built around the realities of the customer's everyday work. The first versions of Laatupankki were developed in close collaboration with pilot customers from a range of industries, including construction, service and industrial companies. This early collaboration ensured that the solution meets real needs and is suitable for a wide range of SMEs. Laatupankki is not an IT project, but a partner that helps develop your company's quality, sustainability and safety.
